Pawan Goyal
Pawan Goyal received a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Max Planck Institute,
Magdeburg in 2018. After a short postdoc at the MPI, he led a research team at
the Max Planck Institute in the department of Prof. Peter Benner on
“Physics-Enhanced Machine Learning,” where he focused on developing tailored
machine learning algorithms to physics processes. Since Nov 2023, he is a senior
AI engineer at the appliedAI Initiative. His research
interests are physics-informed surrogate modeling, reduced-order modeling, and
model-based reinforcement learning.
